Why does Super Rad Exist?
Well, let me tell you the short and long of it.

Short story – I have loved games – especially classic games – as long as I can remember.  My memories of NES, SNES, Game Boy, N64 and Dreamcast are never ending.  I used to go to the arcade at my local bowling alley all the time and it was simply a blast.  So I decided to open an arcade.

Long story – after many years working in strength and conditioning and gym ownership, I decided I wanted a new challenge. in 2019 I bought my first arcade and was immediately hooked. I booked the name Super Rad Games in 2019 and had dreamed of opening a bar called Super Rad since.

In that time, I bought and sold close to 150 arcade games. I have learned the intricacies of arcades in that time – how to restore the cabinets, diagnosing electrical or component issues.  I bought my first pinballs in 2021 and have learned the extensive process of updating and restoring pinballs, and put my games at various breweries around the triangle area.

I signed the lease for Super Rad Retro Lounge in November 2024, and after a very, very extensive buildout, we are excited to be a part of the Raleigh area!
